Explore the connection between oaks, humans and the nourishing web of life in a presentation, field trip and acorn processing workshop.
Learn how to identify local oaks and how oaks have been woven into world mythologies and cultures. Join ecologist Jolie Elan in an ethnobotanical journey visiting oaks on SFI land. In the afternoon, we’ll move to the kitchen to learn hands-on how to handcraft acorn flour and then taste yummy acorn cakes.
