07/23-25 Introduction to Fire Ecology: A Botanist’s Perspective

Instructor: Linda Vorobik
Date: 07/23-25, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Location: SFI
Tuition: $215

Wildfires have increasingly become a part of everyone’s lives as the climate changes. Gain a closer look at how wildfires affect our natural environment by learning about fire intensity and patterns, and how plants and vegetation respond to and survive (or don’t survive) wildfires. Each day will start at SFI with introductions to sites and concepts, followed by field visits to three areas where the instructor has botanized for many years.

*Covid-19 protocols in place. Masks required for all in person courses.
